Okay, so I am still truly confused by this story….. Why has the state not fined Lutsen? Also, why would Dayton agree to the new water usage? He and his legislative cronies are just idiots. And yes, I mean idiots. Lutsen will continue on just fine, as the place has for decades, without the extra water. They should pay (as we ALL do) for any upgrades to their business. If Lutsen wants more water, ante up for a pipe to Superior. Don’t like the price? Then stick w/ what you’ve got. That’s the way the world works… Good God we’re a mixed up society.
My wife and I spent the weekend in the area and as much fun as it could have been to enjoy some of Lutsen’s activities, we decided to boycott all things Lutsen.
All good questions. Why, why, and how. Accountability and personal responsibility, all nudge, nudge, wink, wink these days. To me it is so blatant and has gone on so long that the attitude between all of the parties involved is “We can break the rules because the fine is only a hand-slap.” Everyone involved should do a little town square time in the public humiliation stockade for lying, stealing and cheating the public. Cruel and unusual my ass. How do you even get a chance to have a face to face with these people? Send an email- right! That holds a lot of weight these days. I am sure our officials read every one of those emails, take them to heart, and then respond with a personally tailored reply telling me how important my views on the matter are. Give me a break. These folks stole from the public, and the government and its agencies were involved These people are toying with their children’s future and think they are playing some sort of game. The linkage is easy to follow if we are getting the whole story. They were all in it for personal gain. All of them. How many more stories are there out there like this?
