Fished all day yesterday and the morning was the most active interms of catching. Buy the end of the day the fish had all but shut down. The warm, sunny daytime temps have caused runoff again. The Rush river had gone off color by 3PM. The Kinni was up this morning. The waters were stained and not chocolate. The runoff will continue today. Water temps started at 39 F and fell a degree at days end yesterday. The water is cold and the fish are not as active as a week ago. The streams furthest north may have less snow in the watershed and therfore less runoff but I have’nt seen them. There was midge and stonefly actitvity yesterday. A number 26 black dry midge was the ticket.
