The wasers of the Southeast are generally down and clearing. Reports from Whitewater are that the middle branch will be your best bet for the clearest water. Trout Run inside the park is also fine. A customer walked in today with a box of flys he had found on the downstream stretch of 690th(Stonehammer road). He would like to find the owner. A description of the box would be needed for return.

The rivers have been fishing well. The cold overcast weather has been a plus. Timing of hatches and the insect life has been so variable that all bets are off on solid info. Go have fun and challenge yourself to unravel the great mystery of fly fishing. I’m sure you will enjoy yourself.

The streams of the Southeast continue to get heavy rainfall. Whitewater was not fishable this morning according to Conservation officers at the state park. The Preston area had considerably more rain. They tell me 3 to 5 days of no rain to bring them back.

The rivers are in great shape, almost crystal clear again. The bright sun has compressed the most active feeding period to the dusk hours. This morning at 6AM The Rush river looked the best it has in 3 days. The water was stained throughout but not muddy. This was however before this mornings rain. I did not see the Kinni this morning but flow rates were back down. I recieved a report from both the Kinni and the Rush […]

The rain fell in considerable amounts last night and today. Everywhere I checked today was muddy. I will keep you updated as the conditions change.
