The waters of the Rush and Trimbelle rivers were fine on Monday. The water is stained from the rain but I could see bottom in both cases. I was in hopes of seeing BWO’S yesterday in the overcast but it was not to be. Clouds of cream midges were in the air but there were no visible rises. I did not see the Kinni but suspect the water conditions are similar. No specific patterns worked well but I would pick up one or two fish after pattern changes. The down stream swing worked better than dead drifting. Keep changing patterns until something works, don’t be lazy!
