Mid-day fishing has been the best during the early season. Fish are podded up in the deep water and somewhat lethargic. Water temperature has been from the high 30’s to the mid-40’s. Midges and stonefly hatches have been the predominant bugs on the water. Dry fly-fishing has been good during these hatches, otherwise nymphing is the rule. Generally, the smaller fish have been caught on the surface; the bigger fish are still deep.
