ONCE AGAIN THIS DEPLORABLE WEATHER HAS BOONDOGGLED OUR FISHING. Streams in our normal fishing proximity are all running high and merky. A word of advise, GO EAST, the smaller creeks to the east are running clear. The Menominee and Eau Claire area has fishable water.

Smaller tribs are now cleared .The main branches are still running dirty. 04-11-01 Calls to both Whitewater and Forestville State Parks revealed dreary news on the rivers in those regions . Both the Root and the Whitewater are at flood stage along with all the small tributaries.

Rivers have cleared for the most part. The fish appear to have been hunkered down during the recent high water and are feeding with reckless abandon. Streams continue to run high and murky. North facing slopes remain snow covered and rain will intensify run-off the situation. Spring has sprung and so has the spring run-off. Most all the rivers in western Wisconsin are running high and murky with about 6 inches of clarity.
