Was on the water Friday. Flows are still up but clarity was reasonable. A few fish were cooperative. Small stones, orange scud, pink squirrel, red bead midge larva. Try something bright colored in the stained water if earth tone colored patterns are not working. Look for fish in calmer water or on seams between fast and slow . The little buggers want to eat but they might be a bit slow with water temps at 37-38. Today there will be some runoff. Get out early. The sky is clear and sun will feel good.
Jake and Northhike, sorry for missing your comments, been unplugged for a few days.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackFished on Sunday 2-6pm. Lower Kinni. Water was stained and about 10″ of vis. This is actually my favorite type of water clarity to fish. However, it was the water temperature that really slowed things down. Tried nymphs and scuds (about 4-5 different kinds) with no results (!!). It wasn’t until the sun went behind the cliffs and I tied on a small streamer fished dead that a few (very fat) fish came to hand. Tight lines!
Any idea how the rivers look today, April 11?
Thanks for the reports and the blog in general!
