Short and sweet.

Rivers are running clear. A smattering of hatches are in thin fashion and appear to be getting restless to morph. Yellow cranes are the most abundant so far. Tan caddis, saw a few. PMD/Sulfur/Lt. Hendrickson’s, saw 4. BWO’s, saw a few. Top water action since the departure of the Gray caddis has been sporadic at best but enough fish have been looking up to warrant throwing the dry. Try light colored patterns in the 14-18 range.

P. tail nymphs in all variations have been the best, Rocks are showing bazillions of wiggling mayfly nymphs ready to make their journey to the next stage. Hatches are likely to begin exploding soon.
