The flows are holding for now. Heat is kicking up and the snow is melting a bit more aggressively today. Hard to say what will be in store for the weekend with warmer temps and the possibility of rain late Saturday. The Kinni took on 10 more cfs of water yesterday. Midges were still in the air at 7pm when I removed myself from the river yesterday. Fished the lower dam. Watch your footing on the stairs down, they are an ice slick. A toboggan would have been a better alternative for a wild ride. Best to take the trail down. I will keep you posted.

Upper had trout rising left at right, at many times multiple at once in the spot I was at. Blue Winged Olives early, and Red Headed Step Child Nymphs did it in the evening for me. Nice trout!

Yes, I would like it, thanks. I will send you my address. The fish have been eating a wide variety of flies. Mostly nymphs of smaller sizes pheasant tails, hares ears scuds midge larva from sizes 16 to 20. Getting in the river and fishing will solve your problem, they are not to selective right now. Flows have pushed the rivers to mud so it will be a few days before we can fish again.
An older gentleman on the upper had a Hare’s ear with a read headed step child i gave him tied on to the second hook, needless to say he did very well for the short time we fished together.

It is a good practice to communicate with other anglers on the stream. We are all in this together and sometimes if the pattern I have is working I like to share it. We all like catching!
