30 minutes ago I watched giant snow flakes fall to the ground. I have to admit it was quite pretty against the green grass background. More rain and snow is in the forecast for today. Not sure how much precipitation is being called for but that water falling from the sky won’t make the water running in the streams any more fishable. I received about 1.25″ yesterday and it has kicked some of the rivers into a high and dirty flow. I am waiting on a report from the Rush River water conditions as well as a report from the DNR to update information on the fish kill.
My friend DA, Head Master at On The Fly Guide Service has this to say about the streams in Southeast Minnesota this morning. Hey DA!
This is a picture of my friend Jeff taking a picture of his friend Polly with a beautiful wild trout from the Kinni.

I knew the water was going to be high but this was unfishable. I had no choice but to go upstream for any action. I did pick up 6 browns way upstream. The water level was dropping so I hope its fishable by Sat.
