50 degree air temp. The snow is getting mushy and slushy. The gage height has crawled up just a bit each day. These are shots taken at 2:30pm today on the F bridge on the Kinni. The river has held today. Still clear, maybe a hint of tint to the deep water. Tonight we will not freeze but the temps will slow the melt. If you have a report from other rivers today let the folks watching this site know what you found. Thanks.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI wasn’t going to fish this weekend, but those recognizable photos make it hard to say no. Andy, do you have any predictions given the forecast of how long our waters will be un-fishable and when it will begin? This weekend? I suppose it could ebb and flow for several weeks.
Eric
Thanks for the update
Howdy Andy,
I was on the Rush today. Had to park below Lost Creek because of cars parked above it. The Rush was clearer with good visibility above Lost Creek. A few fish taking midges in the film, no surface action. There were some big (1″) Stoneflies on the water, but not enough to bring some fish up.
Thanks for the report Brian. Lucky you got out today.
