Heavy rain fell in the area this morning. Over an inch and a quarter in my gage. The Kinni is raging; the Trimbelle as well. I did not make it far enough east to check the Rush, but I suspect it is off as well. It will be a day or so.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackA buddy and i fished the kinni last night from about 6 til 11 pm. We started just below the lower falls and maybe went back in a mile or so. The water was high, maybe 4-6 inches or so, and off color. Not chocolate milk and with about 2 feet of visibility. Most action was in the slower water either, dead drifting or swinging. A couple of fish were taken on Partridge and Orange, Rusty Woolly Buggers, Muddlers and Black Marabou Muddlers. Best fishing was just at and after dark, swinging the streamers in seams and slack water just outside of feeding lanes. Can’t wait for a little cooler weather and a bit lower water.
