By 2:30PM the Rush River had gone off color to near muddy at the 570Th street crossing. The volume of water had increased all day until the sediments stirred up from the rain and run-off of the last two days kicked her off color. This MAY NOT be the case all the way up and down river because of the location of the different feeder creeks and gullies that run into the river, but it is a good bet that it will be stained up in sections for a day or two. The Kinni’s flows are a little high today but I suspect it should be just off color and probably fishable today or tomorrow. Fishing was variable yesterday, cool and wet, sometimes they ate and sometimes not. I will be out on the river every day for the next two weeks, don’t hesitate to ask questions about what you see……. I met two old friends yesterday, stream-side. One was playing in the sand and one was begging for food. Here are their photos.
