Here is a chance to help in conservation efforts on the Kinni and learn a little bit more about the river. This communication was sent to me by Greg at the KIAPTUWISH chapter of TU. Go to this link for more info. The work begins at 4 to 5PM and goes till they decide we can quit.
There were 8 volunteers at Parker Creek on Tuesday May 12. A pretty good area of stream bank was seeded and mulched and a number of structures were built.
There will be work on Tuesday, May 19; same stuff: seeding, mulching, structure building and placement.
Bring gloves, eye protection, boots, water, waders…There is a lot to do in a short time and the project looks good. The DNR needs to be out of
there by the end of June.
We need your help. I’ll post updates and keep an eye on the weather. We generally work unless there’s been a deluge of rain.
Thanks!
Greg
