This morning one of my informants told me all about what people were saying and what the trout plan to do for opening weekend. Its good to have, as H&R Block would say, People. In my case its also good to have trout.
Contrary to reports and rumors that I have disappeared, given up the goat, kicked the bucket and/or moved to Alaska; they are all a bunch of mularkey. I have been away from my computer in Chicago at the Greatwaters show, in Milwaukee at my parents’ house and at points in between. I have been slightly overwhelmed by the emails, requests, comments and all around kind words many of you have had for me. I will catch up eventually.
The next week is a big week for all of us. The Greatwaters Fly fishing Expo will be in Minneapolis the 6, 7,and 8th of March at the Sheraton Hotel in Bloomington. This is a great chance to see the best and the brightest in fly fishing and conservation in the region.
The Wisconsin Early Catch and Release trout season also opens on the 7th of March. Look for reports on current conditions to keep you up to date and informed. I’ll be talking to the you and the trout.

You have been as elusive as bigfoot! 🙂 There have been Andy sightings here and there and some shaky camera footage from the valleys in Wisconsin, but alas no one had anything confirmed. LOL! 🙂 Good to have you back!
I’ll be at the show on Great Waters Expo Saturday and working the TCTU booth on Sunday morning so stop by!
Looking forward to the start of the Wisconsin season and returning to my favorite spot on the Rush!
How do we know that we are finally hearing from the real Andy Roth?
From the photo it looks like he is being held in a captivated state. Stockhausen Trout syndrome?
