The reports from around the region have been generally good. The fish have been stacked up in the deep holes and are lethargic. Hay Creek outside of Red Wing has been busy with success coming on Caddis Pupa in all sizes and Prince nymphs. The water temp has been in the high thirty’s so the fish should be feeding. The bite has been very very subtle so strike on any feel or movement of your strike indicator for those of you using them. Midges have been spotted on the Whitewater and Hay Creek so have those dry and emerger patterns ready. The surface action has been slow so hopefully the warm weather will bring them up.
