Here we go again!!
The Rush is out of its banks and lake-like in the corn fields around the upper end of the river. Locations in the area are reporting 4 to 10″ of rain over the last two days. A couple bridges are out or have been damaged, not sure which crossings these are yet and the info here is general. The Kinni is running over 400CFS this morning and is coming down in flow but it probably won’t come down enough for a day or two for good fishing to resume.
Ouch!!
I will go out and look around today

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackFigures, the hatches were so good this spring. Now I suppose the bottom will be scoured clean. It will be interesting to see what changes have occurred to our rivers. Some “hot” spots will be gone, with new ones formed, I suppose.
Greg
fingers crossed it wont be that detrimental to all our little fish.
Amen to that!
Just an fyi, Rush was muddy again today at the HWY 29 bridge when I drove past this a.m.
Thanks Pat
Probably be a day or two to get back to stained and fishable, a week to clear. Kinni is looking better today. I will see the water at F bridge this afternoon.
More rain on the way!!!!
After decades of fishing the driftless one thing I have learned those fish are so resilient. The Kinni was so full of little fish I’m sure more than enough will make it. I just hope the Rush will be in good shape over the 4th weekend.
All should be good. Rivers looked good yesterday.
