I went out there today, and have some information that you and your readers may enjoy.
1: Rivers are blown. You already know that. Visibility generously estimated at 3-4″. I fished the Rush Wed afternoon-evening, and it looked the same when I left as it did when I got there. Barely better than the Kinni, which I viewed at F and also in town.
2: Moderate size 18-20 BWO activity. Not a ton, but a decent hatch- the birds were loving it! Also, trout were not rising to them, but slashing them off the surface. I have not seen to many rises this year, except for yesterday.
3: I did catch a few, including 1 nice brown and a handful of brookies in the 8-10″ range. Beautiful fish.

Strong work, great observations and cool report.

I went anyways and almost drowned. the rivers were so high and I wasn’t paying attention when a huge log came really fast and hit me pretty hard. That was Tuesday night after all of the rain.
Walking the dogs last night (8-26), I noticed all the flying ants about and thought, just maybe…. The upper Kinni is over the border about 20 min away, but the ants were there too!
Nice to finally see the fish looking up and fishing a dry fly again!

Nice
I saw them yesterday as well. Not at the river, but in my yard. Good to know, Thanks Greg
