Wonderful picture, Andy. Brookies win the beauty contest, and yes (happily) there seems to be more of them in our streams every year.
Good to read your comment on the slippery river bottoms too. Didn’t know if my bubber soles where the issue or my shaky 71 year old legs!
“To those with rubber soled wading boots; The rocks have been slipperier than normal. Is anyone else noticing this? Felt is a bit better right now. Either something is growing on the rocks or they are covered in fine slippery clay silt particles from the settling.”
I just glued strips of felt on my Aqua-stealth soles. I fell for the first time out in Montana. There’s some reasonably priced felt sole wading boots out there. Safety first!

Nice speckled trout! My favorite…the flash of white tells the tale or is it tail?

Nice words of wisdom! No Comment on the secret fly. Cutting up girdles, like they did in the old days will just get you in trouble with your Mom. However, the new bike shorts or yoga pants might work. Maybe we call it yoga Bear:)

That would be 71 years young legs
Discussion?
Is the brookie saying he likes that fly and wants more or does Andy want more brookies? I say both.
What is that leggy lure anyway. It couldn’t be the infamous girdle bug a guy gave me when I wasn’t catching fish on the Bow River in Calgary?

Maybe the rose moles are on Browns?
I haven’t fished this year yet–rotator cuff surgery. Good year to miss out on up to now.
