I am off to the Sucker River on the North Shore of Lake Superior this weekend to Participate in an “open house” at Namebini. My good friends Carl and Cindy Haensel have created an awesome destination complete with all aspects of outdoor adventure. From well thought out accommodations, to almost any outdoor activity like, hiking, biking, fishing, floating and more, Namebini has it all. Wrapped up in the cool cover of the north woods, the brightly flowing waters of the Sucker river and the epic views of Lake Superior, Namebini is a gift that keeps giving. Stop by and take a peak for this yearly event. You will be back! Open to the Public.
The rivers are running cool and clear in Pierce County. Heat and sun has been the word this week. Anglers are finding fish, but with the changes in the river there is a new learning curve to discover how to fish your favorite holes. Many of them have changed and anglers are having to work a bit harder to re-learn the new stream bed. Insect activity is spotty with caddis , crane flies and small mayflies in flight, but not prolific by any means. Have a great weekend!

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI did a tour of the Rush on Sunday morning after the rain starting out at Lost Creek ending up at the town of New Centerville. Lost Creek was over some of the small bridges, had to back up and drive around. Rush was high and muddy all the way up to Martel. From Martel up it was even higher with lots of debris coming down. All the ditches were running chocolate. Passed over the Kinni at 94 and that was way up into the pasture. Looks like another big flood event again. Time to re-re-learn your favorite trout stream again.
