I have been out of town most of this week. I will be out on the water for the next 3 or 4 days in a row. Waters are calm right now. A bit high, a bit stained in places but look fishable from a drive by look. Conditions still vary from river to river. There is rain in the forecast and there is no telling how that will affect water conditions in the future. Most of the snow is now gone. Fields will suck up a bunch of the water but I don’t think the frost is completely out of the ground. Heavy rains may run instead of soak in. Have fun if you go. My next report might not be for a couple of days.
Cheers!

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackOn Thursday, the Rush was over its banks ibetween Martell and El Paso.
The water was very dirty and moving fast.
I wasn’t skunked, but didn’t stay long.
Played hookie from work on Thursday and drove to the Rush and found it high and more off color than I wanted to fish.
Can you give us an update on Saturday’s condition?
Thanks,
OPL.

Water has gone down and cleared some. On Friday the Rush was still well off color except for high up on the river. The water was big and characterless. Thanks for your input here.
