Flows are reasonably good in Pierce County. Rivers are a bit off color, what I would call perfect. 4-6″ of wet snow is on the ground. Rain could come tonight. Water temps are cold 39-41 degrees yesterday on the Lower Kinni. Go Fish if you can. No telling if they could all blow up again soon.

Don’t put the toboggan away yet, looks like more of the white stuff could be on the way.
The snow certainly did not scare off the BWOs on Saturday (4/13). I think it’s Go Time. The steady freezing rain, however, got the best of me on Sunday.
Mostly sunny with a chance of cattle. Mooo!
Streamer fishing on the lower was solid Saturday afternoon into the evening when I hiked back to the car around 7.
Good to hear they are doing a bit of following. I may try to get out tomorrow and strip a few.
Ducked out of work @ noon and headed to the Rush. Arrived around 1-1:30. Lost Creek was running clear. The Rush was stained but definitely fishable. Streamers worked again until around 4ish when it turned to chocolate milk. Driving home I checked out Lost Creek which was ripping. It was out of its banks in spots and pouring over the bridge @ 465.

Fished the Kinni yesterday. Decided to throw black buggers for a couple of hours. It was good. Cookie cutter 10-13 browns hit the bugger consistently. I think water temps are still to cold for the bigger fish to chase right now. Water was fine still at 6 p.m.. Funny how different watersheds will act differently. Thanks for the update on the Rush
And now more rain. This winter/spring is getting old. Any thoughts on what effects it will have on hatches? Will they be latter, no come at all, or anyone’s guess?
