I stopped by the Brule a week ago for an evening session on my way back to the cities from a big adventure to the tribs at the very top of the big lake. I hooked and lost a 20incher swinging a streamer in a deep fast run.
The water was amazingly clear. Since I was pressed for time I didn’t venture too far away from US2. Not sure if you have a Brule Theory on this, but in low clear water I like closer to the mouth since the water has a bit more color and the pools are deeper. I think fish are more comfortable down there in the low and clear conditions.
