Rain has been wide and variable. Take your chances on water conditions. Here is what I know. The Kinni seems to be running at normal levels, a bit stained but good. Reports from the Rush are that it is fishable at hwy 29 but gets dirtier as you go down stream. Give it a day or two. Trimbelle is chocolate milk.
Thanks to Jodi who took this picture and the rest of the women from the Fly Fishing Women of Minnesota who participated in the outing we had last week.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackFished the kinni from the access on FF tonight. Water was maybe slightly stained but pretty darn clear. The fish were very active right around dusk with a couple different mayflies coming off the water. I won’t even try to identify, some yellow and some smaller pale ones.

I saw the same on Monday. Very little top water action until the hour before dark. Then she lit up like a candle. Up and down the river you could see fish breaking the surface. The summer period has started. Both caddis and mayflies were out and about. All sizes and mostly light bodied flies from the ones I could catch and see. I was way to busy trying to keep my fly on the water rather than chasing bugs down. Thanks for the report. Were they getting ready to close F down? Could you tell? I will try and look over the next few days.
there was construction signs and lights in the ditch south of the bridge and I heard from another angler that it closes today
