The waters are clear and skinny. Go to broken or deep water. The fish are still eating but there is less water to fish. Trout took a variety of bugs today from streamers to midges. Some top water action, but sparse. Just a short update today.

What river is this?
It was great to see you, Andy, at the Great Waters Fly expo in Minneapolis. I’ve been to a lot of these things and I do have to say, that you have a great energy in your booth. And I think it’s your positive attitude toward others and getting them excited about fly fishing and conservation.

The Rush River
Yes….that clear water requires some stealth and long leaders. Despite the clear conditions there are fish available to be caught. Just have to shift to more summer (clear water) tactics.
