The weather has been great for fishing in the region. There has been no significant change in hatches or stream conditions. The cool weather has made the Tricos unpredictable but the fish still know what the bugs look like. The hoppers are beginning to make an appearance, but not everywhere. Nymphing is good. Try a large Hares ear (8-12), followed by a small midge pupa or WD40 in red (20-24). Black Buggers have also worked well fishing them downstream.
