Andy is basking in fly fishing paradise in Montana so this stream report will be a little different than usual. Nothing has changed in both MN and WI over the last three weeks. The streams remain low and clear. Trico’s, cream midges and small BWOs hatching in the early morning, hopper/ants/beetles/nymphs mid-day, Caddis/BWOs in the evening. The best times of the day are as usual, early moring and late evening. With that said, hopper with a dropper during the day have been productive. Gordo’s fly suggestion: nymph selection – try small (size 20) prince nymphs, pheasant tails, black copper johns and trico nymphs, Tricos- CDc Trico and Organza Trico Spinner, Hoppers – Schroeder’s Parachute Hopper and Daves Hopper. There you have it. Let us know how you do.
