Just like S.E. Minnesota , late afternoon and evening have been the most productive for fishing. Nothing much has changed in terms of water clarity or hatches in this region. Small nymph patterns and emergers in the film have been the rule but Royal Wuff and Coachman in #14 and #16 have fooled some nice fish. Specific patterns to try are Soft hackle olive #18-#22 Midge larva #20-#22 in tan and gray and Crane fly parachutes in #14. (P.S. Unless conditions or hatches change I will probably not update the site. Call if you have or need more specific info between reports.) Try fishing new water at this time of year, you would be suprised how many fish congregate in the stretches where the beaten path no longer exists.
