I fished the lower Kinni this morning. The water was stained but in good shape. The fish were not particularly active but a few were hooked on P. tails. the Rush is fine. More reports of PMD’s are comming into the shop. The adult Lt. Hendrickson pattern in 14-16 will work during the hatch. The […]

The Pierce co. streams are in great shape this morning. The clarity is perfect, just a little stained. There is no new info on hatches but do have your PMD and sulfur patterns in 14,16, and 18 ready in the mid-afternoon. The Caddis and Crane flies are still at large. If you dont know about […]

The reports on the water in the Southeast are not positive. The storms hit the Southeast much harder than Western Wisconsin. At this time none of my contacts could tell me where fishable water was.

The waters of the Southeast are getting back to normal. From reports it sounds like the Root river and it’s tributaries might be the best bet. The Whitewater levels are just comming down and clearing. The smaller rivers are probably good now.

The rains Sunday did not disrupt the Rush river waters. The water clarity remains good. Crane flies and Caddis were hatching yesterday afternoon. A #14 yellow Crane fly immitation followed by a # 18-20 emerging Caddis pupa worked best. Water temp was 57 degrees. Fishing was slower in the early morning where I was. The […]

The rivers are in fishable shape today. The water is stained but returning to normal. No info on hatches.

The rivers of the Southeast are up and cloudy.The rain that fell over the last few days gave the Southeast some much needed water. The streams are begining to recede. Watch the weather, more rain expected.

The rains have come and may continue. The waters were merky today but getting better. I will try to fish Saturday AM and have a water clarity report for you tomorrow.
